Shamim Andres Khomasi first discovered his passion for wine while growing up in Mendoza, Argentina. Immersed in the world of wine culture, he began working harvests as a teenager and taking courses to further his knowledge of enology and viticulture. After moving back to Northern Virginia, he received his Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from George Mason University, which provided a strong foundation for winemaking. He then began working for wineries in Northern Virginia as a harvest intern, and quickly worked his way up to Assistant Winemaker. As Assistant Winemaker at Breaux Vineyards, he hopes to expand his knowledge and skill set in enology and winemaking, while contributing to a thriving environment.
