Vertical Wine Tasting Event at Breaux Vineyards Loudoun CountyCalling all Cabernet lovers! Come out to Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville, VA Saturday, January 21st for a Loudoun County wine tasting experience like none other. Breaux Vineyards’ winemaker Josh Gerard will lead this 90-minute session during which guests will be treated to a gourmet three-course meal; a vertical tasting — that is, six samplings of our own Cabernet Sauvignon as it ages; and the utmost pleasure of likeminded company.

What is a vertical wine tasting?

Breaux Vineyards’ vertical wine tasting experience is a study in Cabernet Sauvignon; from year to year, tasters are invited to develop a deeper understanding of the both subtle and striking ways in which a single wine can change from year to year.

Josh and his staff have designed this one-of-a-kind event to be equal parts educational, delectable, and fun! Space is limited, so contact Breaux Vineyards today to reserve your spot at the Cabernet Vertical Tasting on January 21 at 12:00 and 4:00 p.m. Participants will enjoy 6 vintages of Cabernet as well as an intro wine and exiting wine.

Menu

  • An amuse bouche of wild boar & sweet potato rillettes with mustard cream.
  • The first course: a braised beef & onion taco served with snow pea tendrils & sundried pepper garlic aioli will be paired with two Cabernet Sauvignon vintages.
  • Guests will dine on a second course of sesame cracker-crusted pork schnitzel with cherry cabernet demi glace & buttered watercress, paired with two more vintage tastings of our Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • The third course is duck confit & pork belly over creamy gnocchi drizzled with blueberry BBQ demi glace, paired with two more Cabernet Sauvignon vintages.
  • Finish the meal with a truffle and one more taste of Cabernet Sauvignon.
